dribbling, weak stream, and incomplete bladder emptying), painful urination, and urinary frequency and urgency.Tamsulosin should not be used by women or children.Adverse Reactions, Precautions and WarningTamsulosin can cause side effects that may
impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert. You may feel dizzy when getting up from a sitting or lying position Stop using tamsulosin and call your doctor at once if you have
severe light-headedness or fainting, or if you have an erection of your penis that is painful or lasts longer than 4 hours rash, itching, hives, swelling of the eyes, face, tongue, lips, throat, arms, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs.Avoid
drinking alcohol. It may increase dizziness caused by tamsulosin.Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.Dosage and AdministrationIt is
usually taken once a day. Take tamsulosin 30 minutes after the same meal each day with a full glass of water. Take tamsulosin exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor will
probably start you on a low dose of tamsulosin and may increase your dose after 2 to 4 weeks.Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.ImportantTamsulosin may help control your condition, but it will not cure it. Continue to take
